Wien is located in the very heart of Europe. Ever since the time of the Roman Empire the city has been a crossing point between north and south, east and west and a central stage for European history, culture and science.

The Austrian capital is undoubtedly one of the most attractive cities in the world; its unique architecture and broad spectrum of cultural activities are magnets for countless tourists from all over the world.

The conference will take place at the Universität Wien, founded in 1365 by Rudolf IV as one of the first European universities. Situated on the magnificent Ringstraße surrounding the historic center, the University is within walking distance of most of the famous sites, including St. Stephen’s Cathedral, the famous museums, the Opera, and the Emperor’s Palace. Cafes and widespread parks in the vicinity of the city center as well as the Wienerwald and the Danube offer excellent comfort, leisure, and recreation facilities.

Wien is well connected by train or airplane with all major European cities and offers flight connections to most overseas destinations.
